What is a WAIVS Sensor?

WAIVS sensor is a strong-motion seismometer that features a low-noise MEMs accelerometer. The sensor is connected to WAIVS Console using Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure and transmits data in near real-time.

There are two kinds of WAIVS Sensors that differ mainly in connectivity options. WAIVS Air connects to the WAIVS Console via either cellular internet or a Wi-Fi network, WAIVS Connect uses either connection with Ethernet LAN or a Wi-Fi network.
